The classroom portion of the class is held at Midwest SCUBA Center. Pool information such as location and directions will be released at our first session.

Masks, fins and snorkel are needed by the second class. If you have your own equipment, please bring it to the first class for evaluation.

Full wet suits are included in the training fee. Each student will need to be fitted. This must be done at Midwest SCUBA and normally takes 5-10 minutes prior to the first class.

Full foot fins (shoe fins) will not accommodate wet suit boots. Midwest SCUBA Center will charge an additional fee for open heel fins/boots during your training dives.
CERTIFICATION:
PADI Basic SCUBA Diver certification or PADI Open Water Diver certification

PADI Basic SCUBA Diver certification requires only 2 training dives however this card has restrictions (depth limit 40 feet and you must always dive with a dive professional). Alternatively, PADI Open Water Diver certification requires four training dives (we highly recommend this rating).
NOTES:
Class Registration must be done at Midwest SCUBA Center. Payment in full is required to hold your place in this class. This fee covers Phase I of training.

The first class is an intro to the PADI program. We will also take a step-by-step look at masks, fins, and snorkels to help you select the proper equipment.

The first phase is taught in a three-week format on Saturday and Sunday. For dates see the schedule page. Training dives are usually done on a Saturday and Sunday following your last class.

This is a three-week program. It is very important to attend all sessions. Any session missed must be made up. A fee will be charged for make up sessions.

Logbooks must be brought to each class. All assignments must be turned in at the beginning of class.

Instruction videotapes used by students may require a deposit. There is an additional fee for those requiring a referral packet.

All SCUBA equipment that is assigned to you must be washed and put away after each session. Abuse of equipment will result in dismissal from the course with no refund.
